Leaving Küçükkuyu
Pictures in the Swedish posting
It is now Saturday. I left Istanbul Thursday morning and took the ferry to Bursa. I spent some hours writing at the bus station and then the bus took 5 hours. A set-back was that it snowed and the higher mountains were actually covered in snow, and it was really cold when I arrived in Kicükuyu. The Friday we took it easy, it is after all the Islamic free day. We went to the market and bought a lot of food, among others a cheeese that is made in amphoras that are dug down during the maturation. Was a very nice cheeses. In the evening we went to hot springs for a refreshing bath.
Today Saturday, I have worked on the roof of the center (picture), fixed my bicycle and played hours with Nehir a charming almost-four-year old. We had great fun. Then we had lunch-dinner at her parents place with other friends as well. Now we are back at the centre were I have made a trial packing of Margareta - the bike. I travel lighter than before Christmas because I didn't bring the tent and the sleeping bag this time. A bit more books and the computer are extra, and a few more things like sunglasses (optimist!). Weather today has been great, sun and perhpas up to 9-10 degrees. The almond trees are blooming.
I plan to stay a week more or so in Turkey. I leave tomorrow and go southwards to Izmir, Ephesos and some other interesting places.
This is olive country. Some shops only sell olives (photo). Also they eat a lot of wild vegetables- also a nice tradtion I must say.
En affär med bara oliver!

Margareta behövde en rundsmörjning, sen var hon ok.
