Bodrum 8 March-I swam!

I left Selcuk on my way to Bodrum this morning. I rained heavy during the night, but when I took off it was fine. But I biked for three hours and had I think five heavy showers and strong wind in my face, yes once even hail. So after 45 Km I gave up in Söke and looked for a bus to Bodrum. He finally agreed to take my bike and we rode the 120 km to Bodrum. I found a nice simple pension (20 Euro), I think the only one that is on the beach, all the others have a street or the cornich between them and the sea. The standard is not that high, but it has hot water and heating. And there are very few guests so I can sit in the lobby or on the terrace and do my writing.

I like it a lot here, it is a lovely place, town in the right size to have all services, but not so big that you get lost. 27 000 inhabitants. Few tourists now, but enough for the cafés to be open.
MY plan was to leave for Kos Wednesday, but if I feel fine with Bodrum I might stay until Friday. Boats to Kos are Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday in the low season.

AND YES-I DID SWIM!. I asked a guy to take a picture, and he made the thumbs up, but when I checked there was no picture, so I have no proof of it. My encounter with the sea attracted som attention. Probably only Swedes, Fins and Russians that swim this time of the years, and perhaps the fish. But ost fish you see is on a menu so I am not sure.....
